It's Whippernock, not Whipponock. It's a simple place, where you can pitch a tent, park a camper, or stay for a day, using the launch area to fish and swim in Lake Chesdin. They sell gas at the dock, sell great barbecue, hot dogs, beer but no wine, and sundries and snacks at the store. Barbara is the gal to see about anything, but the help is friendly if not informed. They have a friendly campground, and a buoyed off swim area. A fun place to spend summer days if you're not into the luxury lifestyle.
